Texas Toast Pizzas | Sonoran Spice Habanero Flakes

I have always enjoyed hosting game day get togethers and having friends over and just having a good time. I wanted to add something new to the table, something that is easy to carry and everyone would love. Pizza is a no brainer for game day however I wanted something easier to hold, no sauce to worry about.

Texas toast is full of so much flavor with the garlic butter, and because it’s been frozen and previously baked we can make it as crispy and crunchy as we want. I mentioned before, these bite size goodies are perfect without the sauce to make them soggy. I top them with cheese, mini pepperoni, and seasonings.

Part of my secret ingredient to make these bad boys stand out is Sonoran Spice Habanero Flakes! I will usually sprinkle them on top right after removing the toast from the oven. Letting the the habanero flakes sink into the melted cheese.

Habanero flakes are enjoyed by many but right borderline too spicy, with Scoville Heat Units: 100,000 – 350,000. For guests that claim these Texas toast snacks are too hot serve with a side of dissolving the capsaicin, which is the compound Dairy dissolves capsaicin, which is the compound that makes peppers and chilis spicy.

This snack is sure to be a hit, easy to make and lets you enjoy more time with your guest!.
